Making Allergy Friendly the Grey Stuff!

“Try the Grey Stuff, it’s delicious!” Well we did and it was! Actually, we’ve made the Grey Stuff quite a few times but this time we used the official Disney Parks recipe from the Disney Parks Blog!

Making the Grey Stuff

Yummy in our Tummies!

The Grey Stuff from Disney Parks including the Be Our Guest restaurant at Walt Disney World is a delicious dessert that I mostly compare to cookies and cream mousse. You could have it on a cookie, you could have it on a cupcake or you could, like us, have it just by itself.

An Olaf spatula makes everything better.

The timing was perfect on this recipe as my son needed some minor dental work and was going to need to eat soft foods for a day. I knew the Grey Stuff would be a great treat after the appointment. Additionally, this is a pretty easy recipe to make and have kids help with. My 3 year old was heavily involved in the whole recipe and both my kids took turns stirring. We were able to use all the recommended ingredients except we decided to use heavy cream as opposed to milk because we felt like it thickened up the mousse a bit more.

Allergy Friendly is not impossible!

I think it’s been a while since I shared all our food allergies (plus penicillin). Between the two kids they are allergic to: peanuts, tree nuts, egg, sunflower, sesame, peach, watermelon, mango, pineapple and maybe raspberry. Even though, those are quite a few allergies, I want you all the know that it’s still possible to make these amazing Disney treats. There are so many awesome substitutions out there, you just have to be creative and of course have some pixie dust!

This was such a win that I forgot to take a picture of my kids enjoying the final product!
